Project Description: Design/Build Grain Receiving & Load out System(s)
Summary of Project: McC inc. was subcontracted to design/build the grain handling portion of this 100 MGPY ethanol facility. We did all the excavation, concrete foundations/tunnels, steel buildings, slipform(s), equipment purchase/installation and commissioning as well as all structural engineering.
- Grain Receiving System
- (2) Truck receiving lanes rated @ 20,000 bph each & (1) rail receiving lane @ 20,000 rated at 20,000 bph.
- Dust collection on all receiving pits.
- Grain Storage System
- (2) 500,000 bushel slipform concrete silos.
- 10, 000 bph bin sweeps with zero bin access operation.
- Grain Reclaim System
- Tunnel reclaim rated @ 6,000 bph each or side taps rated @ 10,000 bph ea.
- (2) Reel scalpers rated @ 3,000 bph each.
- Grinding System
- (4) Hammermills rated @ 1,500 bph each w/air assist system.
- Transfer conveyor system to process rated @ 6,000 bph
- DDG Storage System
- (1) 2,500 ton flat storage building
- (2) 4,000 ton slipform concrete silos
- DDG Load out System
- Silo reclaimer(s) rated @ 7,500 bph each
- Bulkweigher rated @ 15,000 bph
- Articulating load out arms with the ability to load out DDG on either truck lane or either rail lane.
- Auxiliary Buildings
- Grain receiving building w/(2) truck lanes and (2) rail lanes
- 125’x175’ DDG flat storage building
- Control room within grain receiving building.
